Violet Blossom is a romantic gemstone necklace centred around a large carved carnelian flower in delicate translucent shades of cream, peach and warm beige.
The flower is surrounded by deep violet 10 mm amethyst beads and smaller pale beige carnelian beads. Clusters of light violet amethyst chips add texture and a softly floral detail throughout the design, while silver-tone flower bead caps and tiny gold-tone glass seed beads provide contrasting metallic accents.
The combination of warm, translucent carnelian and rich purple amethyst gives the necklace a distinctive colour palette, with natural variations in the stones making each section slightly different.

Carnelian and amethyst are both varieties of quartz. Carnelian is a translucent chalcedony coloured by iron compounds, while amethyst is crystalline quartz whose characteristic colour ranges from delicate lilac to deep violet.
